  1. I came all the way from Washington DC to Marrakesh Organics in July of 2015 to learn the principles of permaculture and sustainable farming firsthand from one of the best- Omar Hajji. Throughout the month long course, I learned everything from soil mechanics, composting and organic fertilizing, natural building with adobe bricks, tree planting and drought proofing, to the overall theory and design techniques for a permaculture farming system. Not only did I gain a plethora of knowledge and experience about farming, but I also gained quality insights to life, morals and spirituality from Omar- who I am proud to call a good friend of mine now. I could not have asked for a better learning and personal development experience and I cannot wait for an opportunity to return to Marrakesh Organics! Shukran, Omar!
